FAQs

Quick answers before you check out.

What kind of dog is Haven best for?

Haven is best for calm, crate-trained small dogs who rest comfortably indoors and benefit from having a consistent place to settle. It is designed as a rest-and-belonging space within the home, not as an active containment solution.

How do I know if my dog will fit?

The most important measurement is your dog's nose-to-rump length. Haven is generally a good fit when that measurement is 22–24 inches or less.

Weight is only a reference point. Most dogs who fit well are typically 10–25 lbs, with some calm, compact builds up to about 30 lbs. Always measure before buying.

Is Haven good for dogs with separation anxiety or escape behavior?

Haven is not intended for aggressive chewers, escape-prone dogs, or dogs with severe separation anxiety. It is also not designed as a behavioral fix, training tool, or high-security crate. It works best for dogs who already rest calmly in a crate or are calmly crate-learning.

What makes Haven different from a traditional dog crate?

Haven is designed as an open-view indoor dog crate and rest space. Clear front and top panels help dogs remain visually connected to the home while resting, and the overall design is made to stay visible in shared living spaces.

It's also made with HDPE, a durable, easy-to-clean material that doesn't absorb odor the way some wood crates can — better suited for everyday indoor use with dogs.

What comes in the box?

Each Haven includes:

  • The crate
  • Cushion
  • 4 lockable wheels
  • 4 anti-slip pads
  • Assembly hardware
  • Allen wrench
  • Instructions

You fit one set to the base — the wheels to roll, or the anti-slip pads to stay put. Assembly is simple and designed to take about 10 minutes using the included wrench.

Can Haven be moved from room to room?

Yes. Fit the included lockable wheels — rather than the anti-slip pads — and Haven repositions easily as routines change, then locks in place. It's designed for indoor use in shared spaces like living rooms, bedrooms, and home offices.

Is Haven chew-proof?

No. Haven is not chew-proof and is not recommended for aggressive chewers.

Is Haven meant to be used as furniture?

Haven is designed to belong naturally in the home and stay out in shared spaces, but it should not be used as load-bearing or functional furniture. Its role is to provide a calm rest space for dogs.

How does Haven work with Harbor?

Harbor helps define space during active moments, like cooking, cleaning, or focused work. Haven provides a stable place where your dog can settle and rest. Together, they support different parts of the daily rhythm at home.

Super cool design

This was really easy to put together, the instructions were easy to follow and it’s designed in such a way that there are minimal parts which I found extremely convenient for assembly. It’s lightweight yet very sturdy and durable. The door slides smoothly and closely securely to keep your pet safely contained when needed. The door also stores neatly and securely (it locks) overhead when not being used so that pets can come and go to nap as they please. It’s a favorite spot for my cats to hang out. It comes with a bed that fits perfectly inside it and seems to have a good, supportive amount of cushion to it. The cover comes off for easy cleaning which is a huge “pro” for me because my animals are always getting everything dirty-the easier things are to clean the less cranky I’m apt to get about messes. The cover is super soft too and has a textured backing to prevent slippage and keep the mattress in placeThe wheels on this are an amazing feature, it makes moving it around super convenient. They roll smoothly and pivot well for easy steering. The individual locking feature on them is terrific too so that if you decide you want it completely stationary it’s very easy to do so

Rugged, durable, easy to move, casters, easy assembly

This is a very nice, very strong, and very durable mobile crate. It’s lightweight, easy to move, and surprisingly simple to assemble. Everything fits together seamlessly. The instructions are clear, all the parts are included, and they even provide extra fasteners, which is a thoughtful touch. It took me maybe 10–15 minutes total, and honestly, more of that time was spent reading the directions than doing the actual assembly. The crate itself is solid. My dog has always been in a tiny portable nylon kennel that he eventually tore to pieces. That won’t be the case with this one. This crate is rugged, built to withstand abuse, and feels like it will last a long time. I really like the casters. It rolls easily, so when I vacuum, I just push it out of the way. It’s also simple to move from room to room. As soon as we set it up, my dog went right for it—walked in immediately and made himself at home. He really likes it, which says a lot. Overall, I’m very pleased with this crate and would recommend it to anyone who needs something sturdy, mobile, and built to last.

Door slides and says out and locks with just one click . Sturdy and easy to roll around if you out the wheels in. It also comes with non slip pads for the bottom if you do t want to put the wheels I. Versatile, multi-function, and stylish crate

This crate is a solid option if you’re looking for something clean, modern, and suited for a calm small dog. Easy to assemble, nice door feature

This is a fantastic crate. I'm quite pleased with it and the only reason my dog no longer uses it, is because she outgrew it. The installation and assembly comes with instructions which frankly aren't super clear, but they're decent enough to understand how to put it together. I do wish the parts were labeled but it's not too hard to figure things out. The clear door is such a nice feature and it slides up like a garage door so that pupper can come and go as they please. I wasn't a fan of the wheels; they're cheap caster wheels and didn't roll at all so I just took them off. The crate mat is a high quality addition that I wasn't expecting but really love -- as does my dog. Overall this is a very nice option for your dog to have its own home while still feeling like they're part of your world. Would recommend, very high quality.

Modern Looking Crate That Blends Into the Room

This dog crate looks much nicer than the typical wire kennel sitting in the middle of the room. The open-view design and clear panels make it feel less closed in, and the warm white finish blends into home décor better than the standard “veterinary prison cell” aesthetic most crates have. The included cushion was a nice bonus and the wheels made moving the crate around surprisingly easy for cleaning or rearranging the room. It also wipes down easily, which matters a lot with dogs because somehow every surface eventually becomes covered in fur, nose prints, or mystery dirt from outside.

Stylish dog crate

This dog crate looks beautiful and blends perfectly with my home decor. It is sturdy and easy to clean, and the included cushion is soft and comfortable—my dog loves it. The base is equipped with casters, making it very easy to move around. I also really like the transparent panel design; it makes the space feel more open and inviting. Overall, it is a very stylish dog crate.

Really like it but had an issue

I really like this dog crate, but even better my baby doggy likes it too. It's her safe place, she will walk herself in there and just hangout in it all day. It was pretty easy to put together. However I did have an issue with the door, the handle got stuck, I tried to fix it but ended up making the door come off the track. I got the door back on the track but unfortunately, the handle is still stuck and the door does not shut properly. I can still pull the door down and my dog just stays in there until I let her out without a problem. My dog is a small breed. If she had been a larger breed she would for sure push the door open. All honesty I really do like this crate, my husband asked where I got the spaceship :) which I thought was funny because it just looks different than the traditional crates. Maybe I just happen to get a faulty one. I like the size, I like the way it looks, my dog likes it....and I forgot to mention that it does come with a dog foamy mat for inside of the crate which my dog really likes. I had to wash it because I needed it, I didn't realize till after I took it out of the wash but the lining comes off which is really convenient.

Easy to assemble and looks modern

This is a nice sized crate/house for a medium sized dog. It is very easy to assemble with only 5 panels and a door. They use twist and lock clips to connect. I didn’t crate my dog so I wasn’t sure how she’d like it. But the memory foam bed was enticing and she’ll nap in there occasionally. I figured she’d like the security of a little cave to nap in. The cover on the pad is very durable and has held up well with her scratching before laying down. I like the white, modern look because it blends into the house a bit better than a wire crate. The only drawback is that it’s not very ventilated in comparison to one of those. Not an issue if you have air conditioning. I haven’t used the dropdown door, I just leave it open. Overall I’m happy with it.

Stylish

This crate is fantastic! It has such a calm, open‑view design that lets small to medium dogs relax while still feeling connected to everything happening at home. It’s incredibly easy to assemble, made from durable materials, and honestly looks great in any room. It blends right in with indoor furniture or an office setup, making it both stylish and functional.

I see you!

I LOVE this crate! But it does comes with pet recommendations* Approx Dim --- 26"Lx20"Wx23"H* Recommended for pets 10-25 lbs/no longer than 24". This is definitely designed for very small dogs. The bigger the pet, the less room they can be inside comfortablyNose to rump 22-24"* The wheels locks and were easy to rolls on the floor and carpet. Easy to move without having to carry* The clear front and top panels are nice because I can watch my dog. She can watch me and I think it makes her feel a bit ... safer. The front flips up and slides into the crate* Feels like it's made of a tough plastic or PVC. I did look up what HDPE was and it's STRONG. Won't mold, mildew, crack, retain odors. Won't stain. Plus there's no metal to rust. And it's 100% recyclable!* Easy to clean with a damp cloth* Includes a comfortable, supportive cushion* Easy to assemble. Comes with everything you need including the Allen Wrench* Modern, sleek design that looks like a piece of furnitureI do think this is pricey for the size but the benefits far outweight the cost.

works great for me

I recently purchased the Lucky Muffin Haven Dog Crate for my small dog, and I have to say, I’m really impressed. The open-view design is not only stylish but also allows my pup to feel included while still having his own space. The clear panels are a great touch, giving it a modern look that fits perfectly with my home decor.Cleaning it is a breeze thanks to the HDPE material, and I love that it comes with wheels, making it easy to move around. The cushion that’s included is a nice bonus, providing extra comfort for my dog. Overall, this crate has been a great addition, and I can see my dog enjoying his little haven for years to come.

Seems to Make the Pets More Comfy

One problem that I've had with pet crates before, is that they can cause anxiety in one of our smaller dogs (chihuahua). She can't see out of it, really. And we can't see her. But since using the Lucky Muffin dog crate, you can really see a difference. Because the crate is sturdy and made-well, but it's functional and safe for your pet. And the most important part of all, it has an open view. I wouldn't recommend it for larger pets. But if you have small furbabies that you need to move from point A to B, this is the way to go.

Stylish and Functional

The second I set this down, my dogs immediately claimed it as theirs. I actually got this because I wanted something that looked nicer in the house compared to the typical bulky wire crates, and this honestly looks much cleaner and more modern. It feels surprisingly sturdy, and I love that it has wheels because moving pet furniture around is usually such a pain.✨ Things I liked:✔ Much nicer looking than a standard crate✔ Wheels make moving it super easy✔ Feels sturdy and stable✔ Gives pets a cozy little den space✔ Blends into home decor better than expectedMy dogs settled into it quickly, which honestly says everything because they can be dramatic about new things. Very happy with this overall.

Stylish Crate That Blends Into the Room

This dog crate looks much nicer than a standard wire crate and fits well with indoor furniture. The open-view design makes it feel less confined for smaller dogs, and the material is easy to wipe down and keep clean. It feels sturdy, well made, and gave my dog a comfortable space without making the room look cluttered.

A great crate…almost.

I like this pet crate..but I could have loved it. I like really like the look of it- it’s fairly modern looking, but not goofy futuristic (and it blends into our decor nicely). The door opens & closes like a garage door, sliding it up & out of the way instead of swinging out to the side. The door and the top have clear plastic panels to offer additional light & visibility, and the square cutouts on the sides provide plenty of ventilation. It even comes with a perfectly fitted, soft foam pad (it’s about 1-1/2” thick, and covered in a nice, soft, dark grey material). Most importantly, our pup likes it- he’s already moved in & claimed it as his home. So why not 5 stars? I ran into what I see as a design flaw in the assembly of the crate- the back panel. The back panel is held in place only by two clips that require some force to slide over little (1/8in. dia.?) plastic posts that protrude from the panel. Those two little plastic posts are definitely the “weakest link” in the assembly, and in my case one of them snapped off as I tried to push the clip in place. With that post broken, it looked like there was no way to put it together, but I was able to use some “garage magic“ and managed to get it put together. I really think the manufacturer should consider redesigning this connection point to reduce failure. If it weren’t for that issue, it’d easily be 5 stars. I still really like it, just be extra careful with those clips during assembly.

not complementary with sophisticated furniture

I ordered the Lucky Muffin Haven Dog Crate – Open-View Indoor Furniture Dog Crate for Small Dogs, Easy-Clean HDPE, Clear Panels, Wheels & Cushion Included, Warm White, Modern Rest Space Designed to Stay Out – to get an in-person visual of its aesthetics as a piece of furniture. My goal was to see how it would complement or detract from my existing décor. I’ve seen similar crates on YouTube that blend seamlessly with other furniture in those videos. Although I knew in advance that my pitty was far too large to use the crate, I wanted to evaluate its appearance and functionality firsthand. The crate is constructed from plastic and plexi-glass. If you already own furniture featuring similar materials, this crate would likely blend well. However, I found the furniture aspect underwhelming; it resembled a child’s toy more than a sophisticated piece of home décor.Assembly is required for this crate, but the process is straightforward thanks to clear instructions and included pictures. Once the first two pieces are connected, the rest of the assembly is largely intuitive. The crate features four swivel wheels with locks. The top consists of two plexi-glass pieces, providing a full view of your pet. The door, also made of clear plexi-glass, has a handle that lifts, allowing the door to slide up and back into slots on each side. Occasionally, the door can jam if the sides are not raised evenly and become lopsided; in such cases, simply close the door and try again. This is not a major issue. The open squares along the sides and back ensure plenty of airflow. This crate is definitely intended for smaller dogs, as a pet should have enough space to turn around comfortably. For demonstration purposes, I encouraged my pitty to enter the crate, but it is not suitable for that breed or for any animal of similar or larger size. If your dog is a puppy or tends to chew, this crate may not be ideal, as it is made from hollow plastic. While it feels sturdy, a determined chewer may damage it over time

A Dog Crate That Doesn’t Look Like a Dog Crate

This is clearly designed for people who don’t want a wire cage sitting in their living space. The open-view panels make a big difference visually. It feels more like furniture than containment, which is probably the goal here. The materials are easy to clean, which matters because dogs tend to be… consistent. It does require assembly, but it’s manageable and the parts line up well enough that you’re not fighting it. Once it’s together, it feels stable and doesn’t shift around. The included cushion is a nice touch, and the wheels make it easier to move than you’d expect for something this size. It’s versatile in the sense that it works in multiple rooms without looking out of place, which is not something most crates can claim. Not sure why there are casters on it.For something that solves both function and appearance at the same time, this is a good value for the money.

Easy to build and looks great in the house

There was a little bit of building involved, but it was super easy to put together and did not take long.I love that I can give my dog a comfortable place to rest during the day that is not their nighttime crate. It looks much nicer in the house than a standard dog crate and blends in well with furniture.I also love that it is on wheels so we can easily move it wherever we want. That makes cleaning or rearranging a lot easier.Overall, a really nice option if you want something functional that also looks good in your home.

Great crate and AWESOME customer service

Recently our rescue took in a bonded pair of mother cats and their 8 kittens, and I immediately thought of this dog crate as the perfect refuge for them. It's relatively spacious for smaller animals, and it's solid. The crate comes unassembled, and it mostly went together easily, though I misinterpreted the instruction to have the "bumps" facing toward the front and only had them there on the floor. I didn't realize that the walls also had "bumps" that needed to face toward the front and wasn't initially able to complete the assembly. Then I really looked at it and realized I needed to disassemble it to get the walls oriented correctly. Once I did that, the pieces all went together easily. One thing worth noting is that when the unit arrived, the door was defective--a screw had come out of the handle assembly, and there was no way it was going to work properly. Any animal with the slightest strength was going to be able to push it open. I contacted the manufacturer--the info was on the instruction booklet--asking for a new door, but not an entirely new crate. The unit is heavy, and I didn't want to have to get rid of it. The CEO responded almost immediately, telling me they didn't have doors to ship on their own, but he actually ordered a crate to be shipped to his office, then removed the door and had that shipped to me. Once it arrived, I was able to complete the assembly, and the crate is now upstairs awaiting the possible arrival of the cats and their kittens. The entire time, the CEO's communication was prompt and outstanding, and I can't say enough good things about his customer service. So I definitely recommend this crate if you have a need for it. (And if you don't need a folding crate. This isn't something I'd want to disassemble and reassemble on a regular basis.)
